Barbecue

Summer in Brussels wouldn’t be the same without the Famous BGS BBQ! We’ll be sticking to the same successful formula. As last year, we’ll meet at the Institut Saint-Boniface Parnasse, rue du Conseil 59, 1050 Ixelles (a 10-minute walk from the metro station Porte de Namur).

You’re welcome from 16:00 to come and have a good time with your BGS friends and especially to meet members of the other BGS activities. We welcome veterans and new members alike, families, children and supporters. Only pets are not allowed.

To celebrate a year rich in festivities, there are some fun surprises in store prepared by BGS members!

We’ll light the barbecue at 18:00. And for those who don’t eat meat, no problem: we have veggie burgers ready. But before that, don’t miss a refreshing apero (with or without alcohol). The team of volunteers who will prepare the salads and side dishes are already looking forward to welcoming you and to dancing the night away under the stars—against the beautiful neo-Gothic backdrop of the Institut Saint-Boniface.

Spread the word and don’t hesitate to register as a group. Registrations close on Thursday 28 August!

The summer barbecue is one of the community events that highlights the friendly and volunteer-driven side of BGS. Any help will be welcome! We will need people to:

• help in the preparation of side dishes on Saturday 30 August in the evening in a community kitchen,
• set out tables and chairs at 15:00,
• help with the barbecuing,
• help keep the buffet supplied,
• make coffee,
• put away tables and chairs from 23:00.
