Tapalanote: start having fun!

Tapalanote, the chorus of Brussels Gay Sports, is looking for enthusiastic singers. Can’t yet know how to sing and you know nothing about music theory? No problem: just bring your humor and enthusiasm and we will work together to teach you how to sing. Ambiance & fun guaranteed! We sing a wide repertoire ranging from pop, classical to world music and jazz. Why not give it a go? Newcomers are welcome to participate – free of charge – to a rehearsal. Tapalanote the LGTB (LesbianGayBisexualTransexual) choir of the BGS. We do two things: we have fun and we love singing great music. Before everything else: this is what we do and who we are.

Whether you know how to sing or not, whether you're a super talent or not, if you know something about music theory: it doesn’t matter. We will work together to help you to learn how to sing, step by step. Music theory knowledge is not required.

We sing a wide repertoire ranging from pop, classical to world music and jazz. In any case, our choice of music always reflects who we are: a gay and lesbian chorus that makes fun and openness of mind and tolerance in his heart. Queen, Boy George and ABBA. Ok. But there is also Irvin Berlin, chanson française, beautiful baroque and world music. We see things big ;-)

And then top of the bill ;-) Tapalanote gives concerts both at home and abroad. It may be small (street) concerts or larger indoor concerts. These are the top moments of the season that we long for, a whole year long! Each season we look for another, usually foreign choir with whom we give a double concert. We learn a lot from those exchanges and have a lot of fun doing that.
