When choosing a name for our choir, Tapalanote ("you’re out of tune"), we wanted to convey that we not only like to get together to sing but also to laugh and have fun.
Guided by a professional conductor we currently have around fifty members, amateurs and professionals, hoping to discover and improve the use of our voices for a joint artistic project.
We have a very wide repertoire, ranging from pop to classic, gospel and jazz. Our music reflects who we are: an LGBTQIA+ choir committed to openness and tolerance.
Since our group's social goal is to support mainly LGBTQIA+ people integration in their community, we make sure that there is a balance between this goal and the singing.
In addition to our rehearsals, we also participate in concerts in Brussels and elsewhere so that we can present the results of all our hard work. These are experiences that we truly enjoy as a group and which motivate us throughout the year.
You can also join us on our Facebook page Tapalanote or follow us on our Tapalanote Instagram account.
Depending on the number of places available, we are always happy to welcome new voices! Audtions are organised early September. If needed, we also organise auditions in the month of January. But don't hesitate to contact us if you're interested! You will be put on a waiting list and will be contacted when the auditions are organised.
