Running

We train twice a week. On Wednesday evening in Park of Brussels and on Saturday morning in the Sonian Wood (Forêt de Soignes). Nevertheless, we also regularly alternate with the Cinquantenaire Park and the Bois de la Cambre, and every now and then we will also try to discover other interesting running places in Brussels.

We do not have a trainer, but the more experienced runners will provide some interesting exercises and training ideas from time to time, and we do the warm-up and stretching together.

We will also participate as a BGS team in races like Les Hivernales de Bruxelles in the Sonian Wood (Forêt de Soignes, the Brussels 20 km and the (quarter- or semi-)marathon in Brussels as well as other races outside Brussels like the magnificent Ghent 10 Miles or Les Crètes in Spa. Don't be afraid of the distances if you're still a beginner, we will help you to reach the finish!

Do you want to run with us?

You can find our contact details here on the right. You can also join us on our Facebook page BGS Running where you find extra information about the running.

Like last year, the new Rainbow Runners group is getting together to train for the next edition of the Brussels 20km on 26 May 2024, a chance to meet new people, work together towards a common goal and to give some visibility to the LGBTQIA+ community.
